@Smashing Smaze On a audition show? Nope. Auto tune needs the people running the board to know EXACTLY when and where the voice needs 'help'. I know it's 2022, but some people CAN actually just sing.
It's because they know what's good and bad. It's not about what they are.

@katt anderson She was a returning contestant from 2 seasons previously ( i think). In her intro talked about how after the show she didnt do as well and regrets it. Also that some time later her best friend took their life and how it affected her. She came back wanting to do her audition justice and in honor of her late friend. Makes me cry everytime i watch - she's amazing.

@katt anderson if I remember correctly she was singing with the memory of her best friend who had passed away the year before her audition. Said friend was the one to push her to try out.
That chandelier guy is singing his heart out. Love the burst of emotion. Also, the girl who sang rise up is just mindblowing. Reallyyy strong voice.

Stone Cold, yes!!! That was my favorite bc of the passion. And Run To You...... She got better and better. Kelly and Jennifer knew it too. But Chandelier guy, yes, he was best for me too. He could re@lly sing.

And only represented her very poorly. Unfortunately. She's bloody damn amazing!!! She'll be back. Somebody that amazing just doesn't disappear.

She is definitely just mumbling through the speed sections. And a high pitch voice just doesn't feel right for the song honestly, even with the higher tempo remix beat.
There's writing it and there's mimicking it. She's mimicking. It's no indication she has the talent to carry an album.
I don't think these are necessarily all the most difficult songs to perform generally, but the way that each artist performed them MADE them into songs that other people would have a lot of difficulty replicating
